Brenda Karimi
Social Entrepreneur, Youth Advocate & Certified Career Counsellor
Brenda Karimi is a passionate social entrepreneur, youth advocate, and business leader dedicated to transforming lives through mentorship, entrepreneurship, and education. She is the Founder and CEO of BK Marketing Company Limited, a social enterprise that has empowered over 10,000 adolescent girls and 5,000 young people across 36 counties in Kenya through programs that promote entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and financial independence.
A Certified Career Counsellor and Associate Member of Corporate Career Academy, Brenda complements her expertise as a Certified Professional Marketer (CIM–UK) with strong credentials in servant leadership, child protection, adolescent programming (UNICEF), and professional life coaching (International Academy of Life Coaching & Entrepreneurship, Florida). She is also an accredited ILO–SIYB Trainer and a Women in Digital Business (WIDB) Trainer of Trainers.
Her leadership journey includes being a Mandela Washington Fellow at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, where she honed advanced skills in business leadership, youth employability, and AI-driven growth strategies. She also serves as Sector Lead for Entrepreneurship in the U.S.–Kenya Alumni Association, championing entrepreneurship initiatives for U.S. Exchange Program alumni.
Brenda’s advocacy has earned her international recognition, including speaking at the 2023 UN SDG Summit in New York on the future of girls in Africa, and facilitating at the Keep Girls in School Indaba Conference in Zambia. She partners with humanitarian organizations, schools, and faith-based institutions to deliver impactful mentorship and child advocacy programs.
Her influence extends to mentoring university students and startups in affiliate marketing, business development, and content creation, equipping them with strategies for sustainable growth. Renowned for her communication skills and passion, Brenda is a sought-after speaker, facilitator, and trainer.
With a vision to scale her programs across Africa, Brenda is committed to fostering youth employability, financial inclusion, and community resilience driven by her personal journey of resilience and her mission to empower young people to maximize their potential and build brighter futures.
